WILLIAM HARNEY

Born 1842, from Castlecomer, County Kilkenny, Ireland. William Harney married Kate (Purcell).

According to a descendant, they immigrated to Maryborough, Queensland, arriving on the “Great Queensland” in November 1874. Their two daughters accompanied them: Mary, age 2, and Kate, age 1. Their name was misspelled as Kearney on the ship passenger list.
