Charles was born in 1889. He was the son of Daniel Harney and Ada Lane. He passed away in 1972.
CHARLES LEOPOLD LANDON HARNEY, of Karlton, Otogo, New Zealand
Charles married Ethlinda Codlin, daughter of George Thomas Codlin and Sarah Jane Rowbottom Codlin.
Children of Charles and Ethlinda are:
- Alwin (Mrs. Cottier, of Hamilton),
- Loris (Mrs. Lawn, of Archenol),
- Jean (Mrs. Stagg, Dunedin),
- Dorothy (Mrs. Still, Touranago), and
- Charles Kenneth Harney
Ethlinda died 21 February 1977, age 87, at Hamilton (peacefully, in her sleep). Charles and Ethlinda also had eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is the sister of Grace (Mrs. A.) Steward, Auckland. Memorial service for Ethlinda was held at the Hamilton Park Crematorium Chapel. - From newspaper obituary
