Hugh Harney was born in Ireland.

HARNEY, HUGH (1808-1863) Crannaghmore, Roscommon.

Hugh was the son of Hugh Harney (1759) with his first wife, Catherine Lennon. Hugh Jr married Bridget Curley in Sep 1832. Children include: John b.1833; Thomas b.1835; Michael b.1838. Hugh’s sons became local road contractors.

Christening: 17 JUL 1808. St Peters & Drum parish, Co Roscommon, Ireland. Sponsors: William Naghten and Mary Naghen.
