THOMAS HARNEY (1794-1880s) Ireland, America and Australia

It is thought he may be the author of the Old Harney Letters Space: Old Harney Letters found in an attic in the old Harney home in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts. He was a seaman and traveled extensively around the world. He letters were dated in the 1870s and 1880s from Sydney Harbour, Australia. He mentions many family members in these letters and his regret that he could not return to Cambridge, MA, for a family wedding.

Name: Thomas Harney. He used the name Hearne in ports where there was animosity against the Irish.
