Judson was the son of John Harney and Mary Edith Huffmaster Harney.
Judson married Nan B Hinds the daughter of Edward S Hinds & Mary L Reynolds. Children of Judson and Nan include: John "Jack", Emma Lou, and Mary Elizabeth Harney.
Judson Harney studied law in Dushore when a young man and settled in Tunkhannock and practiced law for a short time. During this time he married Miss Nan Hinds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Hinds, of Factoryville, who were living in Tuhkhannock at that time, Mr. Hinds being sheriff of Wyoming county.
Mr. Harney went back to Dushore and practiced law, finally going to Scranton and entering the employ of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad Company. He was admitted to the bar in Lackawanna County, and later to the supreme court of Pennsylvania. About the same time he was made treasurer of the Scranton Trust Company and remained in that capacity until 1919. He was a member of the Elks Club, Scranton and Masonic Lodge at Factoryville.
Judson had been an invalid for about 14 years. When he died, he left his parents, one sister, and three children. His wife died several years earlier.[1] [2] Judson is buried with his parents at Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA
