DAVID RAY HARNEY (1888-1913)
The eldest son of David John Harney and May Reynolds of Marshfiled, Wisconsin. David Ray was born 23 June 1888, at Butternut, Ashland county, Wisconsin. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1907 and attended Ripon College. He planned to take up forestry as his life work, and was employed ba a lumber firm at Seattle, Washington, and also worked with the U.S. Forest Service. On March 18th 1913, he was involved in an accident at Lake Samamish, when an iron bar fell on him. He died from his injuries on 21 March 1913, at age 24. He was single. His death record was signed by George H. Reynolds, a relation who lived in Seattle. He is buried at Marshfield, Wisconsin.
