Biography

Lewis was born in June 1851 in Illinois according to the 1900 US Census. According to the 1850 US Census he was age 10, but his parents were married in 1847, his older sister was born in 1849 and therefore he existed before 1851. The date of 30 June 1850 was already on this profile without a source, but all of the previous information taken into account, that seems like a good compromise until a source is found. He was the oldest son, but second child of Alexander Harp (1823-1891) of Tennessee and Elizabeth Ann Jackson (1827-??) of Illinois[1] and he had one brother and three sisters.
