Martha was born on 28 February 1862 in Pendleton, Virginia (later to become a part of West Virginia). She was the daughter of Eli Harper and lDelila Hinkle[1]<Her Obituary gives her birthdate as 29 February 1862, however, 1862 was not a leap year.[2]
On 2 March 1892 she married Osa F. Cockrell in Cass county, Missouri. [3]
She passed away on 22 December 1938 and was buried in the Freeman Cemetery in Freeman, Cass, Missouri. [4][2]
