HI Jean,

Just checking in as we have not seen you on WikiTree in a while. The Pre-1500 team misses your contributions...

Hi! In 2013, you uploaded an image that's now attached to Audley-11. Letting you know that I just asked for help with it in G2G - https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1014859/need-help-with-an-image-attached-to-alice-de-meynells-profile - in case you might remember anything about it (I'm lucky to remember yesterday! but others are more organized than I am).

Cheers, Liz

Thanks for looking into the Catherine Camell merge. I can see no source justifying the location of Scapwick, Somerset in Camell-13, so I have changed that to Shapwick in Dorset (and standardised the surname spelling) as asserted by Burke (https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=iWRHAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA1561). I'd prefer to go with the DNOB (https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Page%3ADictionary_of_National_Biography_volume_60.djvu/383) entry, but sadly I'm not convinced that a Skapwick exists in Dorset. However, as you point out, the discrepancy in birthdates and offspring remains; a Catherine Camell born in 1466 can't possibly be the mother of Richard Weston born 1465, so perhaps best to leave it there. Regards, Chris.

Such fun to make connections -- was following a trail back in time and created profile for Christiana Lyster. Went to create a profile for her father, William, and voila, you had already created one for him. Now he has two children of record on WikiTree!

Jean, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | fr-2 | ga-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate French and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen

Hello Jean - - "Lower Eatington: Its Manor House and Church (1869)" was source of my comment that Sir Ralph Shirley resided principally at his manor of Radcliffe-upon-Sore, Notts., after his father was killed in 1403.

I am aware that the number of John Cockaynes in the same area causes confusion however both purport to be the father of John who is married to Cecilia. Cecilia is common a name as John. I agree the dates would have to be cleaned up. I will leave this to your discretion since my sources are internet only.
