Biography
John Harper lived in Appalachia, in Ohio.
John Harper was born circa 1785 in Fauquier County, Virginia. His parents were William Harper and Harriet Dover.
John Harper was married to Susanna Cox on November 7, 1810 in Fauquier County, Virginia. Ohio had become a new state in 1803, and the young couple became pioneers of Coshocton County, Ohio. There they settled and raised a family of eight known children.
John Harper died on December 22, 1860 at Virginia Township, Coshocton County, Ohio, at the age of 75.
