According to descendants, George Harper is the son of Patrick Harper and Janet Dron.
On the 10th of October 1672, George Harper received a land grant for 133 acres between the bounds of the Chiescake Indian land and the land of Conquest Wyatt in Gloucester County for the transportation of three persons into the colony: George Anderton, Dorothy Jones, Simon Statey[sp].[1] George perhaps migrated to another county by 1677. The only Harper found in the Petsworth Parish, Gloucester County Vestry book, 1677-1793 was Mr. John Harper in April 1709.[2]
