Biography

Van was born in 1921. He passed away in 1980.

"His father Pink Finis worked for the railroad most of his life, and his mother "Wild Bill" raised the children.

Van was in the army during World War II and was a supply clerk at Camp Hale in the 10th Mountain Division. He liked being in Colorado, so he came back to the University of Denver when he finished his military service. The government paid for most of the costs under the GI Bill for servicemen to continue their education." (Lucky Lou, 2017)
