Biography

Moses was born about 1806. He was the son of Josiah Lairl Harrelson and Mary Ann Stevens. In 1855 Moses Harrelson was convicted in Marion, South Carolina for killing Evan Rogers of Marion County. Harrelson escaped jail, remained at large for over a year, and was finally recaptured in Columbus County, North Carolina. He was brought back to Marion District, resentenced, and hanged in Marion on June 5,1857. [1]
