Biography

Reuben Harriman was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on Nov 5, 1725. He was son of Joseph Harriman and Lydia Eaton. [1]

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and enlisted in a company to go on expedition "on foot" to Rhode Island. [2]

Reuben Harriman and Mehitable Putnam married in Plaistown, New Hampshire in 1747. [3] It is also listed in Salem, Massachusetts. [4]

They moved to Hampstead, New Hampshire soon after their marrage and settled on the farm originally purchased by Reuben's grandfather Nathanial Harriman. [2]

Mehitable was admitted to the church from Danvers, Massachusetts on Nov 1754. [2]

The old farm remained in the family and when it was sold in 1861 "the burial lot at the southerly corner" was reserved for the family. In this lot are buried Reuben and Mehitable and "their colored servant Philo". [2]

Reuben died April 12, 1808 in Hampstead. [5]

Their children were all born in Hampstead, New Hampshire and nearly all moved to northern New Hampshire of Vermont. [2]

I am not sure the Goffstown marriage has anything to do with this Reuben Harriman. This biographical sketch https://archive.org/details/memorialoftownof02noye/page/358/mode/2up

mentions nothing about a second wife.

Harriman-588 and Harriman-526 appear to represent the same person because: Exact date of birth, same spouse, mother and children

Difference in dates to be noted in the biography until a source can be added.

Harrimann-1 and Harriman-526 do not represent the same person because: not a match
