Herenden-9 and Harrington-1991 appear to represent the same person because: These are obviously the same person, some checking is needed for consistency of children, spouses...

Elisha Herendeen is reported to have been married five times, his ancestry is clouded by errors in many family trees compounded by the readability Rhode Island Vital Records. The marriage records, and burial records offer some hope in profiling the family.
Herenden name is severely altered in Rhode Island extracts, variations: Hernden, Harrington, Herenden, Herendeen. I refer to the book, "The History of Danby, Rutland, Vermont published 1869 by McLean & Robbins, Rutland, VT., author, John C. Williams, 393 pages. Thomas Harrington Married Freelove ____, he came to Danby 1880 from Glocester, R.I., his 7 children are listed. My search is on Martha Herendeen, the first wife of Uriah Stone 1749-1819, she is reported as daughter of Elisha Herendeen, perhaps the dau. of Elisha 1694 who married 13 Jun 1717 Susannah Rutenburg 1699-1742, 2nd wife of Elisha Herendeen. Uriah married Ruth Thurber after Martha died 1776.
