Shirley Ann Harrington was born on 17 December 1929[1][2][3][4][5] in Dubuque County, Iowa, United States[1][2][3][5]. She was the daughter of John Lavern Harrington[1][2][3][4] and Elaine Kathryn Walsh/Welsh[1][2][4][5].

Shirley married Lewis Silas Timmons, Jr[4][6][7] on 23 July 1949[4][6][7] in Scott County, Iowa, United States[4][6][7].

Lewis and Shirley had 4 children[6]: John Timmons[8][5], Elaine (Timmons) Roete[8][5], Rebecca (Timmons) Salmon[8][5], and Susan (Timmons) Keller[8][5].

Shirley and Lewis divorced on 28 June 1963 in Richmond, Virginia, United States.[6][7] Divorce records confirm they had 4 children.[6][7]

Shirley married Richard D Bowden[5] on 24 August 1970.

Shirley Ann (Harrington) Bowden passed away on 21 June 2002[5] in Davenport, Iowa, United States[5].

"Shirley Bowden

Shirley Ann Bowden, 72, of Davenport, died Friday June 21, 2002 in Davenport.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Shirley was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Dubuque, Iowa, to John and Elaine Welsh Harrington. She married Richard D. Bowden Aug. 24, 1970, in Raleigh, N.C.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Elaine Roete, Leclaire, Iowa, Susan Weeks, Edgington, and Rebecca Salmon, Aledo; son, John Timmons, Princeton, Ill.; stepsons, Ricky Bowden, Wake Forest, N.C., and Tomas Bowden, Bahama, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepmother, Jerrie Harrington; sister, Patty Bade; brother, Mike Harrington; and cousin, Julie Noel."
