Biography

Hannah Harrington was born on 1 Feb 1817 and baptised on 11 May 1817 at Wethersfield, Essex, England. She was the daughter of George Harrington and Mary Turner.[1]

In the 1841 census, Hannah Harrington was age 20? living at Hudson's Hill, Wethersfield, Essex with her mother Mary Harrington (55), also Sarah Harrington (8) [an unknown relative].[2]

In 1848, Hannah had a daughter Mary Ann Harrington who was baptised the following year.[3]

In the 1851 census, Hannah Harrington was age 32 living at Hudson's Hill, Wethersfield, Essex with her mother Mary Harrington (68), daughter Mary Harrington (3). Occupation Straw Plaiter.[4]

In 1852, Hannah had a daughter Harriet Harrington who was baptised the following year.[5]

Hannah Harrington (age 38; spinster; father George Harrington) and George Pasfield (full age; widower; father John Pasfield) married on 24 Jul 1856 at St Mary Magdalene, Wethersfield, Essex.[6][7] They had a daughter Sarah Pasfield (b. 1856).

In the 1861 census, Hannah Pasfield was age 44 living at Wisley Brook Lane, Wethersfield, Essex with her husband George Pasfield (64), daughters Mary Pasfield [Harrington] (12), Harriett Pasfield [Harrington] (9), Sarah Pasfield (4). Occupation Straw Plaiter.[8]

Hannah's husband George Pasfield died in 1867.

In the 1871 census, Hannah Pasfield was age 54, widowed, living at Wethersfield, Essex with a lodger Thomas Bentley (66). Occupation Straw Plaiter.[9]

Hannah Passfield (age 57; widow; father George Harrington) and John Burgess (age 61; widower; father Henry Burgess) married on 3 Jun 1876 at St Mary The Virgin, Great Bardfield, Essex.[10] [11]

In the 1881 census, Hannah Burgess was age 64 living at Bridge Street, Great Bardfield, Essex with her husband John Burgess (68).[12]

In the 1891 census, Hannah Burgess was age 73 living at Great Bardfield, Essex with her husband John Burgess (78).[13]

Hannah's husband John Burgess died in 1896.

Hannah died in 1900 age 83 at Great Bardfield, Essex. She was buried on 18 September 1900 at Great Bardfield, Essex.[14][15]
