Mary was born in 1911. She passed away in 1995.
Eunice Shonkwiler, 83, Mechanicsburg, died at 9 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 1995, in Heartland of Springfield.
She was born on December 11, 1911, in Madison County, the daughter of Samuel and Hester (Ferryman) Harrington.
She was retired from the Mechanicsburg school system, having worked 19 years as a custodian.
She married George Shonkwiler on February,[sic] 9, 1929.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Miriam and Clarence Jones, Mechanicsburg, Nancy Joan and Paul Skinner, Shirley and Kendall Van Schoyck, all of Springfield, Lois Norman, Vacaville, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Shonkwiler, Mechanicsburg, 16 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Jacobs, Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, on June 10, 1968; a son, George Shonkwiler, in 1990, two sisters, and five brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Skillman-McDonald Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Clark County.
