Cornelius was born November 11, 1735 in Goochland County, Virginia.
Cornelius was recorded as a resident on 7 June 1756 in Virginia. Cornelius and his brother, John, were two of seven Quaker men to resist the draft instituted in Virginia in 1756. They were marched 140 miles to Winchester, Virginia and incarcerated by Col. George Washington for 6 months for refusing to bear arms.
Cornelius child of Daniel Harris, married Keturah Webber on 12 August 1759 in St James Northam Parish, Goochland, Virginia. Together they had seven children.
Cornelius died in 1807 and was buried in Clermont County, Ohio, United States of America.
