Biography

Ann was baptised 12 Dec 1790 at Buckland, Kent. She was the daughter of John and Mary Harris.^[1]

Ann married Robert Sims on 27 October 1811 at St Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent.^[2]

Ann emigrated to South Australia on the 'Indian' in 1849 with her daughter and son-in-law Sarah Ann and William Revell, and their two children.

She died 3 February 1862 at her home in Kermode Street, North Adelaide, South Australia and was buried 5 February 1862 at the Walkerville Wesleyan Cemetery. Her memorial notice was published in the South Australian Register: "SIMS - On the 3rd of February, Mrs Ann Sims of Kermode-street, North Adelaide, Formerly of Dover, Kent, aged 70 years. Her end was peace."^[3]
