DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:

Hello, Harris researchers. I have a Harris line in my ancestry that may be related to this branch. My 5th great-grandfather was a James Harris (Harris-56637) (spouse unknown) who had a daughter Elizabeth (Harris-56636). He gave permission for Elizabeth to marry in Nelson County, Kentucky, in December 1803, with the marriage taking place on 5 January 1804.

Harris-56637 and Harris-22632 could be the same individual. However, there are some inconsistencies between these two profiles, and they make me wonder if there could have been two men named James Harris who arrived in then-Jefferson County, Kentucky, at similar dates.

If there are active Harris researchers working on these lines, I would greatly appreciate it if you could compare the two profiles and see if you have good evidence to support one interpretation or the other. My reasons for thinking these could be two different men are spelled on in the Research Notes for Harris-56637. I would love to collaborate with the research on this family. Thank you for your help!
