I'm an adoptee. I've known my birth mother for 35+ years and utilized Ancestry and DNA to find my birth father's family. I also utilized DNA and Ancestry with the help of a search angel to solve the mystery of my father in law's NPE. I also have an extensive tree for my adoptive family. I am interested in tracing that family line as well. My world is abundant and I'm willing to help others. I received a detailed, well researched family tree from a cousin on my birth father's side. It was handed out at a rededication of a Carter Cemetery in Mississippi that dates back to just after the Revolutionary War. I also was gifted researched family tree information on my birth mother's side (McMurry). I look forward to making sure my information is as correct as possible from collaborating on this amazing project with people who know more than I do!

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! Based on your ancestors, it looks like youre going to be working on profiles that fall under several Projects. I'm here to help you find one that best fits your needs.
Start by thinking about the particular time periods, locations, and topics in which you're interested. Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Take a look at the list of active projects for examples of what we have going on.
If you see one that's just right, go ahead and join. Otherwise, let me know what you're looking for and I'll see what I can find.

You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.
Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to help!

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better. You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer. As always, your questions are welcome!

Did you have fun learning your way around WikiTree yesterday?
I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

Thanks for completing the tags indicating you wish to research/document your family history. You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members.
As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.
Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.
You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum: What do you do to honor the veterans in your family tree?
Great to have you on board and good luck growing your branches.
Ludwig :)
Welcome to the WikiTree family!
WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team! I hope you'll love it as much as I do!
The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started. When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history.
Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!
Charlotte (Georgia, USA)
P.S. I'm happy to answer any questions!
