William Harris is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.
William Christopher Harris, a son, and the youngest child of Robert Harris, and Jael Ellison his wife, was born in Madison County, Ky, May 28, 1838, where he spent his life, on and adjacent to the homestead of his father.
Father of Overton Woods Harris, Thomas Francis Harris, Rober Rodes Harris, Mary Bohanan Harris, and Eliza Christopher Harris.
