• According to the 1790 census, he was in Montgomery - 3 males under 16, 3 males over 16, 5 females. Is there any information about the females? I have a Patience Harris in my line. She and her husband Elisha Kirksey named their first child West Harris Kirksey. Patience was b. in NC c1785. Is she a child of Turner Harris?

Turner was born in Brunswick County, Virginia. He moved with his family to Granville County, North Carolina, when he was about 1 year old.^[1]

Turner married Elizabeth Rush. They made their home in Montgomery County, North Carolina.^[1]

Turner represented the Uwharrie Baptist Church at the Yadkin River Baptist Association Meeting in 1791.^[1]
