Robert Harris and his brother, John, patented land (150 acres) before their father died (Bk. 13, p. 516, dated Sept. 28, 1730). Each owned 75 acres. Robert sold his part before moving to Warren County, NC. John remained on the land and it passed to his youngest son, Benjamin.

Son Gedion Pegram to have land where I now live". [1]
Robert Harris was born about 1710 in the Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He was the son of Robert Harris and Fulgham Fulgham.

Robert E. Harris made many errors in this book ...from stating that the family descended from the Cricksea Harrises to identifying Thomas Harris d. 1688 as the son of Thomas d. 1672 and misidentifying Robert's brother John who did not go to Warren County, NC but remained in Southampton County, VA and died in 1772 not 1790. Also gave John the wrong wife and children.
Robert 1674-1739 had these children: James, Charles, Ann, Michael, Joseph, Robert, John, Matthew. They are listed in his will.

I do think you are correct about all of them being related to different degrees. Most of them came from Bristol, England.
I agree, with some changes, these are the same individuals. Changes: Robert, Jr.’s death place. I think it should be North Carolina because he moved there before his death, and I have not seen anything to think he returned to Southampton Co. VA. He was born in Isle of Wight, VA, but boundaries changed; and after about 1750, that part of Isle of Wight was probably in Southampton Co. VA. I have not been using wikitree very long, and I have not studied Robert, Jr. much and apologize for the errors I have made while posting information and then while trying to correct my mistakes. I am hoping to improve! Changes: Wife: I have a friend who also is a Harris family member. I highly respect her skills as a researcher. Below is what she has determined about Robert Harris, Jr.’s wife.
"I have finally found the original will of Hannah Branch Williamson wife of Joseph Williamson. She died in around 1780 in Bertie County NC and in her will names her daughter Ann as "Ann Turner". This Ann was always assumed to be the wife of Robert Harris jr. b1710 in Isle Of Wight, Virginia, USA D: 1786-1800 in Warren, North Carolina, USA proof positive that Robert Harris jr did not marry This Ann Williamson. John Hix may have been the father of Samuel Hicks, father of Absolom Hicks, who m. Mary, dau. of Sherwood Harris Sr., who willed to his son, Sherwood Harris, 160 ac. (which he bought from Jonathan White), and "the plantation whereon Henry White formerly lived". He bequested his dau., Mary Hicks, 100 ac., "whereon her husband Absalom Hix now dwells". To son, John Harris, all my wearing apparel and a gun. Exrs: my wife, Jane Harris, brother Robert Harris. Wts: Patrick Bradey, Ralph Hudspeth. Proved Aug. 1763. On April 4, 1764, Samuel Hicks and his wife Dianah Willis sold 69 ac. at the fork of Tuckahoe Creek to John Farrar. On Oct. 22, 1764, Robert Harris, brother of Sherwood Harris, granted 100 ac. on Tabbs Creek, Granville Co., NC to Samuel Hicks, witnessed by Absalom Hicks (b. ca. 1733).
Sherwood and Robert Harris were closely related to Richard Harris, who m. Priscilla Holmes, by 1749. (See the 1749 will of Frederick Holmes). He could not have been the Richard Harris m. to Margaret Kimbrough, still m. in 1751.
Another son may have been the Robert Harris, who, with his wife Lemenda (probably Sherwood), deeded to Stephan Ragland, on October 16, 1742, 60lbs for 230 acres. He was also recorded in the May Court of 1741: Robert Harris late of Hanover County Virgina, now of Bertie, land on Roanoak River adj. to Ragland at Turbevills Run. Witn. P. Smith, Nathaneil Hill, Jn., Arnold Brown.
His Will, dated June 5, 1785, reads: ‘In the name of God amen I Robert Harris … of the County of Granville being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament … I give to my niece Mary Harris daughter of David Harris … I give to my grandson Thomas Harris son of Thomas Harris … I give to my daughter Lemander Hampton … All the rest of my estate … equally divided amongst my sons Christopher Harris, Sherwood Harris, Robert Harris, David Harris, and Samuel Harris … In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 5th day of June 1785.
