Biography

Elizabeth Hannah Harris was born on 26 November 1813 at Banbury in Oxfordshire, the daughter of Robert Harris and his wife Elizabeth, born Elizabeth Cook. She was baptised, as Hannah Eliza Harris, at the Independent Chapel in Church Lane in Banbury on 10 August 1815. [1] [2] [3] [4]

In 1841, Elizabeth Harris was living at Calthorp Terrace in Banbury with Robert and Elizabeth Harris (presumably her parents.) Her age was given as 25, implying a birth date between 1811 and 1816. [2].

John Cooke, a farmer of Baddesley Ensor in Warwickshire, son of John Cooke, farmer; and Elizabeth Hannah Harris, of Calthorpe Terrace, daughter of Robert Harris, gentleman; were married at the parish church of Banbury on 24 October 1844 [3].

Their daughter Mary Elizabeth Cooke was born in 1849 [5]; and Emily Cooke in 1850 [6].

In 1851, Elizabeth Cooke was living at Baddesley Ensor in Warwickshire with her husband John and their two daughters. Her age was given as 37, implying a birth date in 1813 or 1814. Her birthplace was given as Banbury, Oxfordshire. [4].

In 1861, Elizabeth was living at Ladywood Terrace in Ladywood in Birmingham with her husband John and their children. Her age was given as 44, implying a birth date in 1816 or 1817. Her birthplace was given as Banbury, Oxfordshire. [7].

in 1871 Elizabeth H. Cooke was living at Ninevah Lane in Handsworth near Birmingham with her husband John and 2 of their daughters. Her age was given as 57, implying a birth date in 1813 or 1814. Her birthplace was given as Banbury, Oxfordshire. [8].

Elizabeth Hannah Cooke died in 1880 at the age of 66 [9]
