He married Audrey Myrtle Hitchcock in the July to September quarter of 1919 in Guildford, Surrey.

Montague, Audrey and their two sons emigrated to Canada aboard the Montroyal, which left Southampton on July 14, 1927. They arrived in Quebec on July 21st.

On this voyage, he and his family were headed for his new employer Mr. J. G. Thynne? at Aspen Grove Post Office via Merritt for farming.

He passed away April 3, 1963 in Rayleigh Mount, British Columbia and buried at Hillside Cemetery in Kamloops, British Columbia on April 6th.
