Ellen was born in 1868, based both on the 1871 and 1911 Census of Canada. She was the daughter of Angus Harrison and Joanna McDonnell. [1]
The McDonnell family tree gives Ellen's religious name as Sister Mary of the Cross. In 1911, she was a resident of the Convent of the Sisters of the Precious Blood at 113 St. Joseph Street, Toronto, Canada.[2]
