Thomas and Catherine married in 1919. At the time, he was a soldier living at the barracks in Cambridge, Mass. This was World War I. He listed his birthplace as Long Island, NY., and his father as John F. Harrison, with his mother's maiden name unknown.[1]

Thomas is the father of Vera Harrison, born in 1920.[2]

The birth and death date here are second-hand information from the FamilySearch Tree, added by Lauren Gordon.[3] The birth date is supported by the 1930 and 1940 census records.

Research Notes

So far, I have been unable to find his parents. On his marriage record, he said his father was John F. Harrison (middle name presumably Francis) and that he was from Long Island. There is a Thomas F. Harrison, born ~1895, with a father named John W. Harrison born in Seneca Falls, NY. Since that is nowhere near Long Island (it's by Syracuse) and the father's middle initial doesn't match, this is not likely to be him. More likely is a Thomas Harrison, born ~1894, who appears in the 1920 census living in Kings County (Brooklyn, on Long Island) with a father named John and a mother named Elizabeth. But I haven't been able to find other records to support this. The names are too common for this to presume the connection. Chris Whitten 12:57, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
