Biography
The daughter of Albert Harrison and Viola (Dixon) Harrison, Kate was born in Iowa in 1883. Her parents were tenant farmers in Iowa but by 1910, had migrated to Michigan, purchasing farm land in Montcalm County.[1] Grace married Roy Clifford (1882-1956), the son of James Clifford and Margaret O'Brien, marrying in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 15, 1911.[2]
They farmed in Otisco Township, Michigan, in Ionia County.[3][4][5] Her husband passed away in 1956 and Kate is believed to have remarried, marrying "Smith." She passed away at the age of 82 and is buried at Ashley Cemetery in rural Kent County, Michigan.[6]
