John Harrison is a part of US Black heritage.

John Brown Harrison was born about 1844 to Mack Harrison and Penelope Harrison. He was a slave and lived in Marengo Co, AL at Faunsdale Plantation owned by Thomas Alexander Harrison.

Plantation Lists

John Brown Harrison is listed on an 1846 Faunsdale plantation slave list. He is listed as age 2. John is listed with Mack Harrison age 56, Penelope age 29, Hannah age 5, and Gabriella age 1.[1]

On the 1857 Faunsdale plantation list John Brown is listed as age 12. He is listed with Mack age 66, Penelope age 40, Hannah age 16, Gabriella age 11, Amy age 10, Jackson age 8, and Sophy age 6.[2]

John Brown Harrison was probably sold, or died before 1864. He is not seen on plantation records after 1857.
