Martha (Harrison) Asbury was born in Appalachia, in Virginia.
Martha Patsy Harrison was born January 1838 at Tazewell County, Virginia, United States. Her parents were George T Harrison and Lucinda 'Lucy' (Hankins) Harrison
Patsy (age 16) married Fielding Kirk Asbury on 1 June 1854 in Tazewell, Virginia, United States.[1] In the 1860 census Patsy (age 22) was the spouse of Fielding Kirk Asbury with five children at the Western District, Tazewell, Virginia, United States.[2] This likely implies that Fielden may have been married previously because having five children by age 22 seems implausible. The eldest, Joseph, was age 11 and may have been from a prior marriage. The others appear to be Patsy's.
In the 1870 census Martha (age 32) was the spouse of Felden Asbury with ten children seen at Maiden Spring, Tazewell, Virginia, United States.[3]
She died on 18 Apr 1874 at Maiden Spring, Tazewell County, Virginia, United States of heart disease.[4]
