Joshua Harrison was born on the 10 November 1863 in Christchurch, Canterbury, to Sarah and Francis Harrison. [1]
He married Annie Philpott at the Christchurch Baptist Church on the 1 September 1886. [2]
Joshua and Annie had four children.
He died at his home, 90 Holly Road, St Albans, on the 19 July 1942. [3] [4]
His remains were buried at the Bromley Cemetery on the 20 July 1942. His grave is in Block 15, Plot 178. His wife will be buried in this plot on the 8 August 1965.
Joshua had signed his last will and testament on the 15 July 1938. His estate, which was valued at under £5,480, was to be invested to generate an income for his wife. His wife was to be an advisory trustee, and on her deather, his eldest son, Reginald Joshua, was to take this role. £250 was given to three of his four children - Wilfred Gordon Harrison, Rita Gertrude Edgar, and Bertha Constance Miles - but Reginald does not seeem to inherit anything. Joshua is described as a farmer, but he spent his working life as a bootmaker. [5]
