Lillian Myrtle Harrison was born in 1892, at Bourke, New South Wales.^[1] She was the daughter of Henry John James Harrison (1852-1926) and Ellen Hanscombe (1855-1904).

Lillian married James Robert Butler (1889-1952) in 1920, at Glebe, New South Wales. ^[2]
