Biography

Margaret was born about 1785. She was the daughter of James Hart and Catharine Sizemore. She passed away in 1861.

Research Notes

  • Find a Grave resource provides 1770 as a birth year which is just not reasonable. This date of birth also appears in her 1850 U.S. Census entry. In 1850 she is in the household of her youngest daughter's family in Grayson, VA. Elizabeth Hash Ross was born in 1827.
  • Margery does not appear with the Ross family in Ashe, NC in 1860, the family is in Tazewell, VA in 1870 (but Margery's supposed death date is 1861).
  • The death date and place of birth and death are from Find a Grave as well, but that information does show up in other sources (trees).
  • Geni.com also provides another child, William born in 1798.
  • There is a Catherine "Dolly" Sizemore Hart m. to James Hart who lived from 1770-1861.
