Biography

Sarah was born between 1849-1851. She was the daughter of Isaac Hart and Hana Kraus. Both parents were born in Prussia and migrated to Louisiana.

On 4 June 1871, Sarah m. Phillip (Phillipp) KAYSER in Manhattan. [1]

In 1872, the couple had a son, Elias. [2]

Daughter Hannah was born in 1875 and a son, Adolph, was born in 1878, according to census records. [3]

Their firstborn, Elias, is not listed in the 1880 census.

By 1900, the couple had been married 29 years. They resided in Manhattan and two children, Hannah (23) and Adolph (21), lived in their home. Their son Elias would have been 28 years old. A 25-year-old niece named Gussie SIMON is living with them. [4]

Sarah died in 1902 at the age of 52, leaving behind her spouse and two children. [5]
