After George Hart's death his three sons all served in the Civil War. His son Daniel served: Company F, 129th Illinois Infantry, captured in Georgia, died in Wilmington, North Carolina, March 1865. Son Henry Hart served: Company K Heavy Artillery, 11th Vermont Regiment Volunteers., 6 June 1864, Henry was wounded at Cold Harbor, Virginia, 12 months in various Vermont hospitals. Henry later married his brother Daniel's widow. Son William A Hart served: Company C & K, 8th Vermont Infantry Regiment., captured and held prisoner at Camp Pratt, Louisiana and at Vicksburg, Mississippi.
George was born about 1799. He was the son of Joel Hart and Phoebe Dallas. He passed away about 1861.
