Research Notes

• It appears that Mary married twice before she married Isaac Smith. It should be noted that the names of parents are not given on any of the marriage records, so it makes it difficult to be sure that "Mary B" on the records is the same person.
  1. James Mosely on 28 Nov 1828 in Henderson County, Kentucky. Neither set of parents is listed on the marriage record.^[1]
  2. James Marshall on 16 Jun 1836 in Henderson County, Kentucky. Her name is listed as "Mary B. Mosely."^[2]
  3. Isaac Smith, as early as 1843, the year their son John was born. He is the oldest known child at this point.^{[citation needed]}
