Albert Hartkopf is Notable.

Born in North Fitzroy, Victoria to German immigrants, Ernest Robert Hartkopf (1849-1915), and Mary Louise Hartkopf (1859-1939), née Ranke. Albert Hartkopf attended Scotch College, Melbourne, attracting attention as a star schoolboy athlete. After graduating from Scotch, Hartkopf studied medicine at the University of Melbourne, where he represented University in the Victorian Football League, playing 48 games and kicking 87 goals[1].

Albert Hartkopf was a notable cricketer playing regularly for Victoria and selected for the Australian national team in 1925 at the age of 35. Batting at no. 8, Hartkopf hit a handy 80 in Australia’s large first inning total but his comparatively poor performance with the ball of 1/134 off 30 overs saw him dropped from the team[2]

Albert Ernst Victor Hartkopf died at Kew 1968 age 78[3], father Ernest Robert, mother Mary Louise RAMKE. He is believed to have been cremated at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery, in Springvale, Victoria, Australia. The ashes of Albert and Isabel are buried in the garden next to St John's Church of England Finch St East Malvern where they were married. Albert's parents, brothers, and sisters are all interned in a family vault at the Faulkner Memorial Park Cemetery north of Melbourne.[4]

From The Australasian newspaper of Saturday 9 March 1918 we see his Marriage to Isabel Faulks below:

HARTKOPF—FAULK.
The marriage of Dr. A. E. V. Hartkopf, younger son of Mrs. Hartkopf, Burke road, Kew, and Miss Isabel Faulks, second daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Faulks,Valeria. East Malvern, took place at St. Johns Church on February 23. The bride wore white tulle over pale pink, tulle veil tiny wreath of pink roses, and carried a sheaf of pink roses with tulle streamers caught with posies. She was given away by her father. The bridesmaids were Miss Mollie Faulks, in pale blue organdy; and Miss Betty Faulks, in pale pink organdy; black lace hats, posies of hydrangea and streamers of tulle. A string of pearls and signet ring were their gifts respectively. Dr. Birrell was best man, and Mr. Westmore Stephens grooms-man. The wedding tea took place at the home of the bride's parents, and the bride travelled in a fawn pleated costume, tete de-negre hat, lined with blue and wreathed with flowers.

HARTKOPF. — On June 14, at her residence, 1113 Burke-rond, East Kew, Mary Louise widow of the late E. Rob Hartkopf, lovlng mother of Elsie (Mrs. Wiegmann), Eugenie Arthur (deceased), Albert (Dr. A. E. V. Hartkopf) and Frieda (Mrs. Frazer) and loving grandmother of Roy, Meryl, Nancy, Geoffrey and Leigh, aged 80 years. Private funeral.
