Biography

Albert was born 3 Aug 1881 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was the son of Henry Hartwell and Virginia Rood. [1][2]

In 1900 he was living in Waukesha, Waukesha, Wisconsin.[3] The household included Henry M Hartwell age 66 born in New York, his wife Marree V Hartwell age 57 born in New York, son Sidney R Hartwell age 25 born in Illinois, son Harry G Hartwell age 23 born in Illinois, son Albert K Hartwell age 19 born in Wisconsin, son Lansing B Hartwell age 16 born in Wisconsin, and son Clark M Hartwell age 14 born in Wisconsin. Henry was a bookkeeper; Sidney was a draftsman; Harry was a Civil Engineer; Albert was a draftsman. Lansing and Clark were attending school.

In 1905 he was living in Waukesha, Wisconsin.[4] The household included Sidney Harwell age 32 born in Wisconsin, brother Harry Hartwell age 28 born in Wisconsin, brother Albert Hartwell age 22 born in Wisconsin, and grandmother Maria Stewart 74 born in Scotland.

He registered for the World War I draft in Racine, Racine, Wisconsin in 1917.[5] He was working as an electrical helper for Mitchell Motors Company. His nearest relative was his mother Maria Hartwell, who lived in Detroit.

He died 10 Feb 1937 in Los Angeles, California.[6][7][8]
