Biography
Philip Hartzell was born on 4 September 1769 in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. His parents were John Hartzell and Elizabeth Nyce.[1]
He married Elizabeth Gerhart (b. 7 February 1770, d. 17 March 1885, daughter of Abraham and Anna Barbara Gerhart).[1]
- Together they had 11 children:[1]
- Philip Gerhart Hartzell, b. 19 November 1800, d. 29 December 1851, married Elizabeth Kerr.[1]
- Polly Hartzell, b. 29 Jan 1794, d. 12 May 1855, married Jacob Cressman (son of Jacob and Elizabeth Cressman).[1]
He died on 4 January 1849 in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, United States, and was buried at Indian Creek Reformed church near Telford.[1]
