HARVEY - Matthew J. Harvey, 77, Caledonia, died at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1968, in St. Anthony Hospital after a short illness.
Born Dec. 29, 1890, in Harlem Township, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel G. Harvey. Lived all his life in Rockford area.
Married to the former Margeret Brown in Caledonia Township, Sept. 20, 1919. Employed as an office supervisor by Ralston, Inc., for 33 years. Member of Willow Creek Presbyterian Church, and was an elder of the church and had been a member of the Roscoe Masonic Lodge No. 75, a past master of the lodge. He was a member of the Rockford Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Margrete; a daughter, Mrs. Wilburn B. Ralston, Caledonia; a son, Raymond, Rockford; a sister, Helen Harvey, Rockford; seven grandchildren.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in BURPEE-WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 420 N. Main St., with the Rev. Lester Reemstma, pastor of Willow Creek Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in Scottish Cemetery, Argyle. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Wednesday.[4]
