DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
The parents of this Thomas Jefferson Harvey, father of the Kansas governor James Madison Harvey, were:
John Harvey (Harvey-6360) and Lucy Estes (Estes-2021)
However, currently, that John Harvey-6360 has an incorrect link for his father. It's showing a John Harvey, Sr. who married Margaret Burke.
According to the source following, per history on James Madison Harvey's ancestry, that John Harvey's father (and James' great-grandfather) was a Henry Harvey.

"JAMES MADISON HARVEY, fifth governor of the State of Kansas, was born in Monroe County, Virginia, September 21, 1833, and was the second child and oldest son of Thomas Jefferson and Margaret (Walker) Harvey. His ancestors for several generations were Virginians. His paternal ancestor in America was Henry Harvey, who came from England about 1725, settling in Orange County. Henry Harvey's son John was the paternal grandfather of the subject of this sketch. [...] Lucy Estes was the maiden name of his paternal grandmother."
I've contacted the profile manager of John Harvey-6360 and asked to have it reviewed and updated per this source information about the father being a Henry Harvey.
Until that is done, I suggest perhaps not updating the parent links here, in order to avoid confusion.
I'll be keeping an eye on it.
