Thomas Morrison was born on 9 September 1880[1] at Martinborough, Wairarapa, New Zealand. His birth was registered at Greytown.[2] He was the son of Thomas Harvey and Margaret Ann McPhee.
He married Jessie Alma Ellen Hall on 3 June 1908[3]. They had seven children.
He competed with his horses at the Wairarapa A & P show in 1914, winning prizes for Hacks and Harness[5]. In 1916 he moved his family from Francis Road, Clareville, to Mauriceville[6]. His wife had a fall in their house in Kent Street, Carterton in March 1932 and fractured a thigh[7].
He died on 14 January 1960[8]. His death was registered at Featherston[9]. He was cremated at Karori Crematorium, and his ashes were placed in Niche 40 DIV 10 on 18 January[10][11].
