INQUEST ON CHARLES H. HARVEY.

An enquiry was immediately afterwards held into the cause of death of Charles Hinchley Harvey. John Fuller Joyce, surgeon, again related the. circumstances of finding of deceased's body. His opinion was that the deceased tied the rope round his neck and then let the bucket drop and fell after it. He was persuaded that it was a suicidal act. Death was caused by asphyxia from drowning. The rope round the neck would tend to accelerate asphyxia. There were no marks of violence. John Tabor and Charles Hinchley Harvey, father of the deceased, were also briefly ex-amined, but no fresh facts connected with the tragedy were elicited. The Jury, without retiring, returned a verdict that the deceased committed suicide by drowning himself.

Note MI3083(Medical):Charles murdered his former fiance, Emma Wildy, and then committed suicide.
