OBITUARY. A well known and respected personality in Mr James Thomas Harwood, died at Kadina on December 28, at the age of 74 years, after an illness extending over several months. He was the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs Thos. Harwood, and was born at Fremantle on November 7, 1857, coming to South Australia with his parents in February, 1865. He resided at Kadina during the whole period. Mr Harwood took no active part in public affairs, but was keenly interested in the local Foresters lodge for over 50 years, and for a number of years was also a member of the Loyal Orange institution. He leaves a widow, two sons and three daughters, Messrs W. J. and L. Harwood (Kadina), Mesdames J. Morrison (Kent Town.), A. E. Langford (Bute), and Miss G. Harwood (Kadina). The Rev. Edgar Arnold officiated at the graveside, and Mr G. R. Haddy had charge of the funeral arrangements.^[1]
