Biography

John was the father of Margaret Harwood Nowell, wife of James Nowell Sr. He immigrate to America in 1652. He lived in Dorchester County, MD, and passed away 1724. His will is below.^[1]

Vol. 3: Liber 6, Old 83: JAMES NOWELL: Aug. 5, 1706: a deposition of James Nowell & Margret: his wife re bounds of "Nowells Pokety" on Monsieurs Creek.

Vol. 4: Liber 6. Old 215: Feb. 8, 1713: John Harwood boterite to James Nowell, Junr. of Dorchester Co., carpenter: "Saw box". adj. "Five Pines", 50 acs.
