John Harwood (late of Footscray and Ballarat), dearly loved husband of Mary Ann, and loving father of Joseph, John, George, Lillian (Mrs. Beard, Footscray), Mary (Mrs. Longley, N.S.W.), Kit (Mrs. Garth, Aiphlngton). Bessie (deceased), and Hilda, aged 82 years. At rest.[4]
OBITUARY. MR. J. HARWOOD. Mr. John Harwood, a resident of Sunshine for many years, died at Alphington on Tuesday, at the age of 82 years. Mr. Harwood. who was a native of Ballarat, was a sheet-metal worker at H. V. McKay's factory, Sunshine . He retired about ten years ago. He is survived by three sons and four daughters. The funeral took place at Footscray Cemetery yesterday. Arrangements were in the hands of Mr. W. A. Wame, of Footscray.[5]
