Biography

Jane Harwood was probably born in Charlotte County, Virginia although specifics remain unconfirmed. She may have been the daughter of Francis Harwood and Margaret Orr, although that is unconfirmed. There was a man named Francis Harwood in Lunenburg Co. in a time frame consistent with a parent of Jane Harwood.

She married John Board in Bedford County, Virginia about 1775. They had at least seven children, listed in the profile for John.

Jane survived her husband and was recorded in the 1830 census as 70-79 years old. Her death occurred some time after the census.
