Biography
Elizabeth was born March 18, 1896 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
In the 1920 U,S, Census, Elizabeth, at age 24 is living with her Mother, Catherine Haseltine at 30 East 155th St., in Harvey Ward 3, Cook County, Illinois. Elizabeth is listed as a teacher in the public school system.[1]
On August 29, 1921, Elizabeth married Hermann Kaehler in Chicago, Cooks County, Illinois.
They had four children:
- Catherine Elizabeth Kaehler (b. 1922)
- Conrad Herman Kaehler (b. 1923)
- John Kaehler (b. abt 1928)
- Marilyn Kaehler (b. abt 1930)
The 1940 U.S. Census shows Hermann and Elizabeth renting at 444 Lowell Ave., in Glen Ellyn, DuPage County, Illinois with their four children. Elizabeth is again listed as a teacher, Hermann a brick mason.[2]
Elizabeth's husband Hermann died about September of 1968.[3]
